The Countdown 2010 Biodiversity Action Fund has been launched again, with up to £5 million to award over the next three financial years. For further information on the new scheme criteria and how to apply please see 2008 to 2011 Grant Scheme.
Projects awarded 2006-2008
The Countdown 2010 Biodiversity Action Fund Project Board was able to fund 34 applications, representing an exciting and diverse range of projects that will contribute directly to Biodiversity Action Plan and England Biodiversity Strategy objectives. Project aims range from direct enhancement of biodiversity, engaging people in conservation work, and raising awareness among key stakeholders, schools, community groups and the general public.

The C2010 fund will support work in every region of England, and will benefit a wide variety of species (including marine, butterflies, beetles, birds and amphibians), habitats (bogs, woodlands, grass meadows, heathlands and marine) and communities.
