Saltmarsh vegetation - summary values

Saltmarshes are important fringing coastal habitats. They often form an integral part of estuaries and other tidal coastal wetlands. Those values, which are particularly relevant to the four states considered important to restoration of vegetation through grazing management are listed in each of the descriptions:

  1. Heavily grazed;
  2. Moderately grazed;
  3. Lightly grazed;
  4. Abandoned.

The nature of each grazing level is found in summary of the description of each of the States.
