Compact Airborne Spectrographic Imager is a sensor which detects visible and near infrared electromagnetic energy reflected from the surface of the earth. The images provide information on ground-cover types to a high resolution. The imagery can also be located with a high degree of accuracy using a Global Positioning Receiver (GPS).
