Sites in the South East

There are three CHaMPs in the south east of England:

  1. Solent Coast and Estuaries;
  2. Dungeness and Pett Levels;
  3. North Kent Coast.

Other sites are as follows:

  1. Southampton - industrial development and habitat loss.
  2. Black Rock beach - 'natural' regeneration of shingle vegetation;
  3. Beachy Head - coastal erosion and re-creating maritime cliff top grassland;
  4. The Crumbles - shingle loss and erosion including sea defence strategies;
  5. Pevensey Bay - coastal wet grassland management.
