Links to pressures on habitats

In reaching a decision of the most relevant route to take when carrying out habitat restoration it is important to be able to set the existing situation in context. For each of the habitats, therefore, a summary of the main pressures acting to effect change is described. The pressures range from infrastructure development, which can cause the complete loss of habitat, to more benign activities such as boat mooring or bird-watching.
