The Society for Ecological Restoration

The Society for Ecological Restoration International is an organisation whose members are actively engaged in ecologically-sensitive repair and management of ecosystems. The website can be accessed at http://ser.org. It has no specific information on restoring coastal habitats. Those interested in the general approach to habitat restoration may find some of the documents of useful. These include:

  • The SER Primer on Ecological Restoration,which is available to download as a PDF file (approx. 800K) or view it as an html document;
  • Wildlife Restoration, the first title in SER's & Island Press' collaborative Restoration Series;
  • The Journal of Restoration Ecology is online;
