Teachers

Use your skills and our Primary and Secondary resources to excite pupils’ discovery of the natural world and how we interact with it.

What materials do we provide? Most of the lesson plans are based around activities, with supplementary information for teachers and some detailed case studies. There are suggestions for outdoor activities appropriate for almost all schools to use in their own locality.
What is the target age group? The resource pages support the national curriculum up to 14+, especially at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 2 with some material for Key Stage 1. Some of the KS3 resources could be appropriate for use at GCSE level or above.
Which subjects are covered? The main subjects are Geography, Science and Citizenship, although units in Design & Technology, Art & Design and Religious Education are also covered and some of the lesson plans specifically develop Literacy or Mathematics. All of the resource pages can be used to support Education for Sustainable Development. They include issues that directly or indirectly affect nature conservation as well as some teaching aids for ecology and geology.
