| How to get there: |
From Norwich city centre take the A1056 then A140 Ipswich Road for about 2.5 km /1.5 miles. Turn right into Marston Lane (marked as a no through road) and use the car park next to Danby Wood. Bus services 10 and 18 from the city centre stop nearby on Ipswich Road (tel. 0870 6082608 for information and fares).

Signposted circular walk (often wet/muddy). Yare Valley Walk runs through the site. Site leaflet and car parking next to the site.

| What to see: |
Flood plain grazing marsh/fen next to River Yare with many dykes. Some wet woodland/scrub and drier grassland. 5 ponds, scattered willows
Plants include ragged robin, southern marsh orchid, water violet and cuckoo flower. Dykes are rich in invertebrates notably the rare Desmoulin's Snail. Frogs, newts and grass snake all breed and water vole and otter have been recorded recently. Notable birds include snipe, Cetti's warbler, kingfisher, cuckoo and green and great-spotted woodpeckers.
