Visitor facilities: Roadside parking. All ability access across site. Regular guided walks.
What to see: A large proportion of the site is heathland ranging from classic dry heath to valley mire. All 6 of Britain’s native reptiles are found here including the rare sand lizard and smooth snake. Dartford warbler breed annually and snipe frequent the wet areas during the winter. Interesting plant community in the wet heath areas. The site is grazed by Exmoor ponies.
